Energy from the Sun
The Sun is a free and inexhaustible energy source. With the development of technologies for the conversion of solar radiation into electrical energy, photovoltaic systems are becoming a more preferred alternative to conventional energy sources. They are ecological, quiet and harmless and their components are recyclable. Besides, they have a long operational life with extremely low maintenance and operational costs. The prices of energy produced from renewable energy sources are the only ones that will drop in a long-term perspective, while the prices of traditional energy sources will rise because of the depletion of fossil resources.

Utility Scale PV Projects
FILKAB Group has significant experience in providing turnkey solutions for the construction of PV parks, as well as for their subsequent maintenance and servicing. The comprehensive supplies and engineering services offered make the company a reliable partner for investors in the RES sector both in Bulgaria and abroad. The firm has completed projects with maintenance and servicing with total installed capacity of over 40MWp in Bulgaria, Romania, Cyprus, Macedonia, and Greece. FILKAB Group uses remote monitoring systems to ensure the continuous observation of the PV park performance parameters and to provide updated information on the status of each component. Thus the maximum efficiency of the plant is achieved and the time to detect and eliminate possible failures is reduced. Among the services offered by the company are the negotiation, project management and implementation of utility-scale RES projects, research, analysis, evaluation and optimization, preventive audits and service, diagnostics and emergency interventions.
Self consumptionGeneral catalogue
The term “self consumption” refers to the share of electricity produced by the photovoltaic system and consumed directly on-site, at the point of production, so the losses from energy transmission and transformation are minimal.
The independent power production ensures long-term independence and predictability of costs. And if there is an option within the PV system to store the electricity produced in batteries, independent power supply can be ensured – even if there is a grid failure of the electricity-distribution company!
How do they workGeneral catalogue
How do they work
How do they operate?
In the systems for self - consumption, the generated power is used with priority to cover the consumption of the local loads connected to the internal grid. The excess energy, if any, is fed into the grid of the energy-distribution company which buys it out on the basis of a preferential tariff determined by the State Energy and Water Regulatory Commission. And the opposite – if the generated power is not sufficient to cover the current consumption, the difference is compensated by the grid of the energy-distribution company. The period for the excess power purchase has been legally determined to twenty years.

Hybrid and autonomous power supply
Comprehensive solutions for hybrid and autonomous power supply
More and more individuals and companies are turning their attention to hybrid or fully autonomous solar systems due to the desire for independence from energy monopolistic structures, the high initial investment for grid connection in remote areas with poorly developed energy infrastructure or the need for uninterruptible power supply.
Owing to the huge technological progress of the photovoltaic industry, there has been a significant decrease in the past few years in the prices of the basic solar system components, which has led to a lower cost per kilowatt-hour of energy produced and to shorter periods for return on initial investment.
FILKAB Solar Enerji has gained extensive experience with three-phase and single-phase photovoltaic systems for own consumption with the option of power storage in family-owned houses. They are connected to the grid but in the event of failure, the system is still operational in autonomous mode, providing power to all major loads in the home. In addition to the design of systems for autonomous and emergency power supply, FILKAB Solar Enerji deals with equipment supply, construction, maintenance, and monitoring, using components from the leading manufacturers in the field which are of the highest quality and with long-life warranties. Thus the company guarantees total energy independence and autonomy of the existing systems.
